Mock error reporting update

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

Wow a 94% accuracy rate on the naming conventions. Unbelievable.

Great job everyone. Also glad to see the birthdays getting filled in.

Some of you have asked about generating testing scripts as you already have experience in this area. We know it may be a bit tedious, but we require everyone to go through the same training on that. Call us paranoid, but we want to be 100% sure that everyone is on the same page for all aspects of the beta testing.

Thanks again for a tremendous second week so far.

Beta birthday list

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

The beta birthday list is now in our “Fun” section in your beta areas. That’s right…we’re not all work and no play at RoboCrush. We make time for fun, too.

Participation is optional, but we encourage you to participate and join in the fun.

Also thanks for a great start to our second week live. Looks like we picked a great group here. We were happily surprised by the accuracy of the naming convention procedures on the mock errors we distributed.

Thanks for all you do.

Server down, sites down…no problem

Sunday, July 27th, 2008

Well, it had to happen…but did it have to happen so early in the game? LOL.

Servers went down, subsites went down…no problem. The apache service was down and it was just a simple restart and the domains are loading fine.

Looks like the subsites were only down for 10 minutes.

We work while you sleep…

Sunday, July 27th, 2008

We could be talking about the RoboCrush system itself here, but actually we’re talking about ourselves. We are pushing through to wee hours of the evening this weekend to get prepared for the second week of beta testing.

Can you believe it’s been a full week?!

The main emphasis of the second week will be reviewing the mock testing results and assigning people to specific “test teams”.

Once that’s finished, we’ll start introducing the formal walkthrough procedures and going over how to develop test scripts. We’ll also make sure to provide you with a formal alphabetical glossary of terms used in the RoboCrush system itself.

Weekly wrap-up

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

Well, the end of the first week is upon us so it’s time to look back on the progress we have made. Pretty impressive so far.

  • The beta tester selection process has been finalized.
  • Mock error reporting has officially launched.
  • The initial iteration of graphing fine-tuning has begun.
  • Video formats for training have been selected.

Enjoy your weekend everyone.

We’ll continue to post any relevant updates over the weekend and will also be putting together a specific week-by-week agenda/schedule for the beta testers.

Programmers…you still have to work! ;-) Just kidding. Have a great weekend!
